Texas Brew Honey Roasted
Spicy Cheddar Meat-Ta-Balls
by Brenda Craig

Ingredients
1 lb. of
frozen or homemade meatballs
1/2 cup Texas Brew Salsa
mild, medium or hot
3/4 cup of water
3/4 cup condensed aged
cheddar cheese with or without
jalapenos according to preference
Cook
meatballs in salsa and water
according to manufactures or recipe
instructions, stirring occasionally
as meatballs will not be completely
covered
Add 3/4 cup of condensed aged
cheddar cheese to cooked meatballs
Stir gently with a spoon
Simmer for 10 minutes and serve hot
with tortilla chips or rolled in a
hot flour or corn tortilla with
guacamole, sour cream, Pica De
Gallo, cilantro and shredded Mexican
cheese a entirely unique flavor
Note: Excellent recipe to make the
day before. You can add more salsa
if you desire a richer, browner
gravy. Using mild salsa for this
recipe makes for nice mellow flavor
sure to please everyone. 1 16 oz.
jar of salsa will do 4 lbs. of meat
balls. If doing large quantities the
larger and flatter the pan the
better. Electric skillets and
roasters work well for large
quantities. You can always transfer
to a Crockpot if needed.
Pica De Gallo
4 tomatoes
1/3 medium red onion, chopped finely
1 tablespoon lime juice
3 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 cup chopped cilantro
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
Let stand one hour.
